STUDY SKILLS DROP-IN CENTRE:

Room L622, Flaxman Building
If you want to discuss your particular problems with essay-writing, note-taking or other study skills, book yourself in for an appointment at the study skills drop-in centre.  Just sign up for an individual session on the list outside room L622.
In addition to individual support, there will be a programme of special group sessions, for example on Power Point, Information Skills.

Ĝ THE CAREERS SERVICE

The Careers Service welcomes prospective and current students at Staffordshire University, as well as graduates from our own and other institutions. They provide information on a range of careers, postgraduate study, vacation work, work experience and alternative options. They also have careers advisers who are able to help you with your career plans, whether you feel you do not know what career you want to pursue, or just need some advice on your CV or what to do next.
As well as this, they provide information on vacancies through their vacancy publications and websites.

You'll find the Stoke office of the Careers Service in the Cadman Building, College Road (opposite the Flaxman Building). 
Opening hours are as follows:Opening hours: 9.00am - 5.00pm Monday to Friday

There is a careers adviser on duty which means that you can see them without appointment at the following times:
1.00pm - 4.00pm Monday Wednesday and Friday afternoons during term time *This service is normally available during vacation periods but it is worth ringing the Careers Office to check (tel. 294991).
